Last month 3 of Marlborough's resident gymnastic stars travelled to Malta, to compete against the best. Below are some of the girls highlights from the competition.

"Malta was the best experience of my life. If I didn’t do gymnastics I wouldn’t have gone to Malta. We also had to wake up at 3 am. The events were floor, vault, beam and finally bars. I got 3 Golds and 1 Silver. I LOVE GYM!! Guiluia, Gracie, Katie, Zofia, Catherine and Grace went. Two of my gym friends Arisa and Ela did not go."

"Malta was amazing. I think it was the best experience of my life. I learnt so much. Even if we didn’t win it would have still been fun to do gymnastics in a small country in the Mediterranean Sea. It was also fun in our hotel, there were swimming pools and our rooms were very nice. I went with my twin, Katie and her best friend Grace. I LOVE GYM!

Malta was very hot and sunny so I hope I can get used to the plummeting rain and strong winds. It was like a little holiday. It felt amazing to be with my friends, Grace, Katie, Guiluia, Zofia, Catherine and me. This is my first trip to Malta and I think it went pretty well. Although I did miss my other friends."

"In Malta we had a few days when we could have fun and do what we wanted. However, on the other days we had to concentrate on our training and nothing else. My whole group watched the older girls do their competition whilst ours happened the next day. We were all very happy with our results. The next day, Sunday we had to leave at 6 am to the International Malta Airport. All of the competitors from all around the world went there then we split to go to different countries."
