Year 1 visit to the Library

On Monday, 1 Warhol spent their morning at Wealdstone Library.

Visiting the library- During our visit,  the story of  The Three  Little Pigs was read to us by one of the library staff. The story was made even more fun and enjoyable because of the funny actions and voices that the storyteller used.

Reading - We spent lots of time reading different books from the different sections of the library.  We shared our favorite books with each other, the adults, and the parent helpers that came along.

Issuing and returning - All of the children had the opportunity to use the library machines to practise how to self-issue and return books using Mrs Wright's library card. The library staff showed us how to scan our library card, which buttons to press and where to place our books.

Here is a web link! It will take you to the Harrow Council website where you can find more information about you local library.

Reception visit to the Library

This week all reception classes went for their second library trip to Harrow and Wealdstone library. The children were read a story by a librarian and they had some time to look at some books with each other.

A massive thank you to all the parents for your continued support with all our trips we wouldn’t be able to go without you.
